Audience 1st Inc. ("Audience 1st," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have - whether you're a website visitor, newsletter subscriber, client, or guest participant in one of our productions.
This policy applies to our website (audience1st.fm), our production services, our newsletter and email communications, and any other interactions you have with Audience 1st. By using our website or engaging with our services, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Who We Are
Audience 1st Inc. is a social show production company based in Dallas, Texas, specializing in B2B cybersecurity marketing. We produce original-format social shows, curated brand experiences, and episodic video content for technology companies.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can reach us at dani@audience1st.fm.
2. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with us.
Information you provide directly
We collect your name and email when you subscribe to our newsletter, fill out a contact form, or book a call through Calendly. We collect your company and job title when you inquire about our services or are identified as a potential client or guest participant. We collect your phone number when you voluntarily provide it through a contact form or during engagement onboarding. We collect billing information when you enter into a paid engagement, processed by our payment provider — we do not store full payment card details. We collect communication content when you send us emails, messages, or fill out forms on our website.
Information from production participants
We collect your name, title, and company when you are recruited or confirmed as a guest participant in an Audience 1st production. We capture your likeness, voice, and image when you participate in a filmed production via professional video and audio recording. We collect biographical information when you provide a bio, headshot, or social profile links for episode promotion and guest pages. We collect signed release forms when you sign a Participant Release and Consent Form prior to filming. We capture your opinions and statements when you share insights, experiences, or perspectives during a filmed conversation.
Information collected automatically
We collect device and browser information automatically when you visit our website, including browser type, operating system, and screen resolution. Your IP address is automatically logged by our web hosting provider and analytics tools. We track pages visited and behavior through analytics tools that record which pages you view, how long you stay, and how you navigate the site. We collect referral source data showing how you arrived at our website, whether through a search engine, social media, or direct link. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 8.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To deliver our services. We use client and participant information to plan, produce, and distribute social show content as described in our service agreements. This includes guest recruitment, production coordination, post-production, and content distribution.
To communicate with you. We use your contact information to respond to inquiries, send engagement updates, deliver our newsletter, share relevant content, and coordinate production logistics.
To improve our website and services. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use our website, identify areas for improvement, and optimize the user experience.
To promote our work. With appropriate consent and in accordance with signed release forms, we use production content featuring guest participants in our marketing, portfolio, social media, and promotional materials.
To comply with legal obligations. We may use or retain information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, or enforce our Terms of Service.
To protect our rights. We may use information to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security issues, or technical problems, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Audience 1st, our clients, and participants.
4. Production Participant Data
Because Audience 1st produces filmed content featuring real people — including CISOs, security leaders, and technology practitioners — we take particular care with production participant data.
Consent and release. All production participants sign a Participant Release and Consent Form before filming. This form explains how their name, likeness, voice, image, and statements will be used, where content will be distributed, and the rights being granted to Audience 1st and the sponsoring client. No footage of any individual is published without a signed release.
What is captured and published. During a production, we capture video and audio recordings, photography stills, and behind-the-scenes footage. Only content that has been reviewed and approved through our editorial process is published. We do not publish raw or unedited footage unless explicitly agreed upon.
Participant rights. Participants can request to review how their likeness is being used in published content at any time. If a participant has concerns about how they are represented, we will review the content in good faith. The specific rights regarding withdrawal or removal of content are governed by the signed Participant Release and Consent Form. Participants who wish to discuss their rights should contact us at dani@audience1st.fm.
Off-camera information. Any personal information shared off-camera, outside the context of the filmed production, is treated as confidential. We do not record, store, or share off-camera conversations or disclosures.
5. Cybersecurity Industry Data Sensitivity
Our clients and guest participants operate in the cybersecurity industry. We recognize that this creates unique privacy and confidentiality considerations.
We do not collect, store, or publish any information related to a participant's or client's security posture, vulnerabilities, tools, architecture, incident history, threat intelligence, internal security processes, or other sensitive security information — even if such information is incidentally mentioned during a production.
If sensitive security information is captured on camera, it will be identified and removed during our editorial review process before any content is published. Participants are encouraged to flag any moments during filming where they may have inadvertently shared sensitive information, and we will ensure those portions are excluded from all published content.
Our crew, contractors, and representatives are informed of these obligations and are bound by confidentiality agreements that include specific provisions for cybersecurity-sensitive information.
6. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only in the following circumstances:
With sponsoring clients. When a guest participates in a production sponsored by one of our clients, we share the participant's name, title, company, and produced content with the sponsoring client as described in the signed release form and the applicable Statement of Work.
With service providers. We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate our business — including our website hosting provider, email marketing platform, scheduling tools, payment processors, analytics providers, and cloud storage providers. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
With content distribution platforms. Published content (which may include participant names, likenesses, and statements) is distributed across third-party platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Once content is published on these platforms, it is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena or court order, to protect our legal rights, to investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service, or to protect the safety of any person.
In a business transfer. If Audience 1st is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected parties of any such transfer and any changes to this policy that result from it.
7. Third-Party Services We Use
We use the following categories of third-party services in our operations. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.
We use Framer for website hosting and serving our website. We use Calendly for scheduling, which collects your name and email when you book a call. We use Substack or a similar platform for newsletter delivery and subscriber management. We use Google Analytics or a similar tool for anonymous website usage tracking. We use Stripe or a similar provider for secure payment processing — we do not store your card details. We use Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar services for storing production files and business documents. We use YouTube, Vimeo, or similar platforms for hosting and streaming video content. We use LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and X for content distribution and audience engagement. We use CRM tools for tracking engagement communications with clients and prospects.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with through us.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve functionality and understand how visitors use the site.
Essential cookies are required for the website to function properly. These cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality.
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and navigation paths. We use this information to improve our website experience.
Third-party cookies may be set by services embedded on our site, such as Calendly booking widgets or embedded video players. These are governed by the respective third party's cookie policy.

9. Content Distribution and Public Information
Audience 1st produces content that is intended for public distribution. When you participate in one of our productions, the following information may become publicly available as part of published content: your name, job title, and company affiliation; your likeness, voice, and image as captured during filming; your statements, opinions, and insights shared during the filmed conversation; and biographical information and social media profile links provided for episode promotion.
This public distribution is conducted in accordance with the signed Participant Release and Consent Form. Once content is published on third-party platforms, it may be indexed by search engines, cited by AI answer engines, shared by other users, and cached or archived by third parties. Audience 1st cannot control the actions of third parties with respect to publicly distributed content.
10. Data Retention
Website and marketing data. We retain contact information for as long as you remain subscribed to our communications or as long as we have an active business relationship. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, and we will remove you from our mailing list within ten (10) business days.
Client engagement data. We retain client files, communications, and engagement records for seven (7) years after the conclusion of an engagement, or as required by applicable tax and business laws.
Production content and raw footage. Published content is retained indefinitely in accordance with the rights granted under the Participant Release and Consent Form. Raw and unedited footage is retained for two (2) years after the conclusion of the applicable engagement, after which it may be archived or deleted at Audience 1st's discretion unless the applicable SOW specifies otherwise.
Signed release forms. Participant Release and Consent Forms are retained for the duration that any content featuring the participant remains published, plus an additional three (3) years.
11. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect and store. These measures include encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), secure cloud storage with access controls, strong password policies, and limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis.
Production files — including raw footage, participant release forms, and client materials — are stored in access-controlled cloud environments with restricted sharing permissions.
While we take data security seriously, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we commit to promptly addressing any data security incident and notifying affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable law.
